“Rock the Vote’s” 2008 public service announcements are now available through the Comcast Media Center’s Ad Distribution Network, officials said Monday.
ADN's cable television and broadcast station affiliates may preview and download “Rock The Vote” PSAs to their local ad insertion equipment for free directly from the ADN Web portal.
ADN has the more than 1,100 affiliates at cable systems and regional and corporate MSO offices across the country. Other cable systems and broadcast television sites interested in obtaining the “Rock The Vote” PSAs via ADN can contact the Comcast Media Center.
The public-service materials provided by “Rock the Vote” include PSAs that may be co-branded by local cable systems or TV stations. Artists featured in the spots include Christina Aguilera, Against Me! and Juanes. Targeting young people, the PSAs end with the “register to vote at rockthevote.com” call to action.
Comcast Cable systems may also access a series of spots that are part of Comcast’s ongoing partnership with “Rock The Vote” via the CMC’s Ad Distribution Network. In addition, Comcast and “Rock The Vote” will be registering young Americans online through Comcast’s programming networks’ Web sites as well as Comcast.net, OurTimetoVote.com, the Comcast voter outreach resource, and Terra.com, Comcast’s Spanish language Web site. All Web sites will be using “Rock the Vote’s” online voter registration tool.
