The National Basketball Association's Houston Rockets and Los Angeles
Clippers tipped off their 2002-03 seasons without cable distribution deals with
their respective Fox Sports Net regional services.

Fox Sports Southwest, which carried 37 regular-season Rockets games last
year, is in negotiations to re-sign the team to a new long-term deal, according
to network sources.

Meanwhile, according to the Orange County Register, Fox Sports West 2
and the Clippers have broken off talks for a new distribution deal after the
team asked for a hefty rights-fee increase. FSW2 representatives could not be
reached for comment at press time.
