Rogers Cable Inc. has added six new multicultural channels to its programming lineup.
Three of the six are currently available, with the other three to be added.
The three networks the Canadian MSO is currently carrying: Abu Dhabi TV, a 24-hour channel with a lineup of diverse Arabic-language programming; Centre TV, a channel from one of the leading TV broadcasters in the Russian Federation; and GTV, a 24-hour German-language service.
The three networks Rogers will add: ATN Gujarati, ATN Sony and ATN Caribbean.
“Rogers recognizes the importance of providing services that meet the diverse needs of all of our customers," vice president and general manager of television services David Purdy said in a prepared statement.
