Rogers Cable Inc. has begun offering World Wrestling Entertainment Inc.’s WWE 24/7 subscription-video-on-demand service.
The company said it is the first Canadian MSO to offer a free-standing U.S.-based SVOD service.
WWE has several WWE 24/7 deals in place in the United States, including pacts with Cox Communications Inc., RCN Corp. and Insight Communications Co. Inc.
“We expect Rogers will be the first of many announcements naming new distributors who will continue WWE 24/7's momentum into our new operating year," WWE vice president of affiliate sales Peter Clifford said in a prepared statement.
