Rozek to Head Comcast’s Wash. Operations

Comcast Corp. said it has appointed Leonard Rozek senior vice president for its cable operations in Washington state, with about 1 million subscribers, effective Feb. 2.

Rozek will be responsible for all of Comcast’s operations and customer-care services for cable television, high-speed Internet and telephone offerings and will report directly to Brad Dusto, president of Comcast’s West division.

He replaces Rick Germano, who was promoted to head up Comcast's Northern California market last month.

Rozek has more than 20 years of experience in the cable industry, and he has held several positions at Comcast since 1990.

Prior to his appointment to the Washington area, Rozek served as the regional senior VP for Comcast’s Southern division, managing six groups of cable systems serving more than 940,000 customers across the southern United States and managing customer-service operations for the company’s entire Southern division.

Prior to that role, Rozek served as the market leader for cable operations around the country, including Comcast operations in Florida, Alabama and Mississippi; Jones Intercable Inc. operations in New Mexico and Wisconsin; and for smaller cable operators in Ohio, Iowa and Colorado.

"Len has had an impressive career in the cable industry and has a deep understanding of cable operations, customer care, technical operations, new products and finance," Dusto said in a prepared statement.
