Logo recorded the most-watched program in its history Monday with the second-season finale of RuPaul's Drag Race.
Some 633,000 viewers, according to Nielsen data, saw Tyra Sanchez named "America's Next Drag Superstar" on April 26. Moreover, the show averaged a network-best 0.8 with persons 18 to 49.
Maintaining the Nielsen momentum, the season finale of Untucked at 10 p.m. also posted a series high, scoring a 0.7 with the 18-to-49 set, with.the reunion episode of RuPaul's Drag Race in the following half-hour retaining 100% of Untucked's lead-in, with the aforementioned demo, according to officials at Viacom's 46-million subscriber service aimed at the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community.
"RuPaul's Drag Race has consistently shown that even underdogs can be champions," said Dave Mace, Logo senior vice president, original programming in a statement "And today, this ‘little-show-that-could' has become a national and GLAAD Media Award-winning phenomenon."
The network has ordered a third season of RuPaul's Drag Race and a sophomore run for Untucked. With the pickups, Logo has upped the number of installments from 12 to 16 for the former, and from 10 to 13 for the latter.
The new seasons are slated to premiere on the network in winter of 2011.
