San Diego Surfs, Broadband-Style

In a survey of 35 local markets in the United States, San Diego was the most heavily penetrated by broadband.

The Nielsen//NetRatings survey, conducted last month, found that 69.6% of San Diego respondents connected to the Internet via broadband, compared with the national average of 51%.

Following San Diego were: Phoenix (68.4%); Detroit (67%); New York (66.8%); Sacramento, Calif. (64.9%); Orlando, Fla. (64.7%); Seattle (63%); San Francisco (63%); Los Angeles (61.6%); and Boston (61.4%).
