Liberty Livewire Corp., a subsidiary of Liberty Media Group, agreed to buy privately held Triumph Communications Group from founder Paul Dujardin in a stock-and-cash deal that was valued at $29.4 million.

Triumph designs, engineers and implements video-transmission services for a range of clients including cable networks, broad-casters and corporate organizations.

Liberty Livewire was formed after Liberty Media bought television and film postproduction companies Todd-AO Corp. and Four Media Co.
