SARS Postpones Canadian Cable Meeting


In reaction to a worldwide advisory to travelers to avoid Toronto in the wake
of respiratory disease SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome), the Canadian
Cable Television Association has postponed its annual meeting.

About 500 delegates were scheduled to arrive at the Liberty Grand Complex
Sunday for a three-day meeting. But according to a statement by the trade
organization, the group had no other choice but postponement once the World
Health Organization warned travelers to stay away from Toronto.
