New York -- Courtroom Television Network's Henry Schleiff
has been promoted to chairman and CEO of the network, while chief operating officer Dick
Beahrs will assume the role of president, officals said last week.
Court TV, owned by Time Warner Entertainment and Liberty
Media Group, has seen record ratings growth during the past year under Schleiff's watch.
Also last week, Court TV said Mug Shots, its new
Monday-through-Thursday biographical show about criminals,will debut Jan. 17 at 7
p.m A second new half-hour series, Hollywood & Crime, will also premiere on
Friday nights in January.
Court TV will air two back-to-back episodes of Hollywood
& Crime, starting at 7 p.m. The show will chronicle the legal problems of such
stars as Hugh Grant.
