Fans of Tribune Entertainment Co. science-fiction series Gene Roddenberry’s Andromeda will have an opportunity to see new episodes on Sci Fi Channel as part of a licensing agreement between the two parties.
Sci Fi will air 22 original episodes of the five-year-old series, starring Kevin Sorbo, this fall, network executives said. Those episodes will then be repurposed in syndication seven to 10 days after their Sci Fi premieres.
Also, Sci Fi will have rights to 110 episodes spanning the series' first four seasons.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The Tribune/Sci Fi deal also includes 66 episodes of Tribune's BeastMaster, the network said.
