Sci Fi Channel said Wednesday that it has renewed original series Battlestar Galacticafor a third season.
The network said production on season No. 3’s 20 episodes will begin in Vancouver, British Columbia, in February, and the episodes will debut later in 2006.
Executive producer and writer Ronald D. Mooreand executive producer David Eick will return, as will the entire cast, including Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonnell, Katee Sackhoff, Jamie Bamber, James Callis, Tricia Helfer and Grace Park.
NBC Universal Television Studio produces Battlestar Galactica.
