Sci Fi Channel decided to pull original series Master Blasters after the show failed to catapult ratings.
Ripley’s Believe It or Not will take over the series’ Wednesday 11 p.m. slot beginning Aug. 24, according to a network press note.
After three airings, Blasters -- in which rocket scientists battled to launch projects into orbit -- generated a paltry 0.4 household rating through Aug. 10.
Sci Fi moved the skein -- part of its new Wednesday original-series block -- from its primetime 9 p.m. time slot to 11 p.m. one week after posting a 0.6 rating for its July 27 debut. Ghost Hunters, which aired from 8 p.m.-9 p.m., moved up one hour to take its place.
Despite the change, an NBC Universal spokesman said the network is still committed to its reality slate, which includes GhostHunters and animated series Tripping the Rift.
