The Science Channel April 17 will pay tribute to one of the world’s greatest minds with a pair of one-hour specials about Albert Einstein.
Airing at 9 p.m., Exploring Einstein: Life of a Genius goes beyond his theories that led to the creation of the nuclear bomb, space travel, satellite technology and an understanding of the universe with a look at a man with a tremendous belief in humanity. It also focuses on the latter part of his life, when he tried to disprove those theories, which clashed with his personal beliefs.
From an overview of Einstein’s life and work, Einstein’s Beautiful Equation provides an in-depth look at how E=mc2 changed the course of World War II and how this discovery evolved from a set of symbols in a notebook to a weapon of mass destruction. Einstein describes his involvement with the bomb as his “biggest blunder.”
