Scripps Finalizes GAC Deal

Great American Country is officially part of Scripps Networks, the programmer said Wednesday.

Scripps Networks parent The E.W. Scripps Co. completed its $140 million acquisition of GAC from Jones Media Networks Ltd., originally announced Oct. 12.

The 24-hour country-music channel will become the sixth cable network operated by Scripps Networks, which also has Home & Garden Television, Food Network, Do It Yourself, Fine Living and Shop at Home under its umbrella.
