Scripps Networks will use Lightningcast Inc.’s technology to manage and deliver video advertising to users of its Web sites, the software vendor announced Tuesday.
The programmer said it will use Lightningcast’s software on its sites for Home & Garden Television (www.hgtv.com), HGTVPro (www.hgtvpro.com) and Food Network (www.foodnetwork.com), as well as its upcoming broadband-video sites for HGTV and Food.
Lightningcast described its technology as “a hosted advertising-management solution that helps publishers to efficiently manage, deliver and report on all of their in-stream video advertising.”
“Lightningcast provides us with the technology we need to manage and deliver our broadband-video advertising,” Scripps Networks vice president for emerging media Harry Jenkins said in a prepared statement. “We chose Lightningcast because its solution will support our growing needs as we continue to expand our broadband-video business.”
