Anthony Bowling and Theresa Simons received "2003 Emerging Technologies
Awards" at the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers' Conference on
Emerging Technologies 2003 in Miami.
Bowling earned the "Star of Integrity Award" based on his contributions to
the successful upgrade of AT&T Broadband's transport backbone. He is vice
president of engineering for Comcast Corp.'s Atlanta region, and he has been an
SCTE member since 2000.
Simons earned the "Polaris Award" for her involvement in the launch of Mercer
Net, a countywide interactive classroom-learning network, and her efforts in the
construction of a fiber interconnect from northern New Jersey to Baltimore,
which enabled the launch of Comcast's regional news and sports network.
An SCTE member since 1985, Simons is an engineering and marketing consultant
with Communications Construction Group Inc.
