The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers is seeking proposals for technical sessions to be conducted at its flagship Cable-Tec Expo conference, to be held this year in New Orleans Oct. 20-22.
The Expo 2010 Program Committee, chaired by Cox Communications chief technology officer Scott Hatfield, will review all technical proposals. The theme of this year's Expo is "Playing Cable's Technology Tune," which the SCTE reflects "the ability of cable networks to provide compelling and diverse services to the customer."
Topics the show's program committee is particularly interested in include: IP video delivery, network architectures, traffic management and bandwidth utilization, 3D television, mobility, business services and smart-energy management.
The deadline for submissions is Friday, May 21; the program committee will announce selected presentations by June 25. More information is available at SCTE's Web site, www.scte.org.
