The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers said Tuesday that it is accepting nominations for its “Expo Awards.”
The deadline is Thursday, March 31, and the winners will be honored during the annual awards luncheon Wednesday, June 15, at the SCTE’s Cable-Tec Expo 2005, June 14-17 in San Antonio.
The categories are:
• “Member of the Year,” recognizing the SCTE member who has made the most significant contributions to the trade group during the past year, sponsored by Motorola Inc.
• “Hall of Fame,” recognizing active SCTE members who, over the course of time, have made extraordinary contributions to the professional development, ideals and goals of the SCTE and the industry.
• “Safety,” recognizing MSOs, contractors and individual divisions or regions of MSOs that maintained an outstanding level of safety during 2004, sponsored by General Fiber Communications Inc.
