SeaChange Drives Revenue Increase


Video-on-demand and ad-insertion vendor SeaChange International saw its fiscal second-quarter revenue jump 73% to $45.4 million.

The company reported net income of $0.6 million (2 cents per share), compared to a net loss of $6.6 million (23 cents per share) it posted this time last year.

SeaChange said revenues in its second quarter of fiscal 2007 from its broadband segment, which includes VOD and ad-insertion hardware and software sales, was $23.7 million. That’s a $7.4 million (45%) increase compared to the same period last year.
