Multiscreen video specialist SeaChange International said it has hired industry vet Mark Tubinis as SVP of engineering and global services.

Tubinis most recently was SVP of strategic solutions at Savant Systems, a IoT and home automation systems company. Prior to that, he was CTO and SVP for Cedar Point Communications, an IP voice pioneer that was acquired by Genband in 2011. He is also late of Alcatel, Innovative Telecom, Summa Four and Charles River Ventures.

He comes aboard as SeaChange moves ahead with a cost-cutting initiative and as the company introduces a new range of products related to OTT and its multiscreen video backoffice platform.

“Mark is extensively accomplished and deeply connected with SeaChange’s core video service provider market,” Ed Terino, SeaChange’s CEO, said in a statement. “With his background in continuous development methodologies, cloud products and IP networks, I anticipate Mark will quickly enhance the ability of our global engineering and service operations to optimize performance and produce new capabilities for our customers.”
