Arris Group and SeaWell Networks have launched in integrated targeted, advertising platform designed to work across a wide range of screens and supported by all “major” adaptive bit rate protocols.
The technology partnership, which comes into play as cable operators continue their IP video migrations, meshes SeaWell’s Spectrum IP session delivery controller tech with SkyVision, Arris’s ad insertion platform.
They have not announced any deals that involve the integrated product offering.
“By integrating Spectrum into our SkyVision platform, Arris is not only enabling operators’ multiscreen shift to IP, but also offering the most powerful advertising solutions for this next-generation of TV,” Neerav Shah, VP and GM of multiscreen video infrastructure for Arris’s Cloud Business Solutions unit, said in a statement.
“The proliferation of connected devices has tremendous potential to generate new revenue for operators, but only if they have the right tools to address this multiscreen ecosystem,” added SeaWell CEO Brian Collie.
SeaWell has struck other integration deals of late. In May, BlackArrow announced it was working with SeaWell and three other vendors on a pre-integrated platform designed to splice ads into linear TV feeds shipped to PCs, tablets, smartphones and other IP-connected devices.
