ABC Family's The Secret Life Of The American Teenager continues to set ratings records for the network.
The Jan. 4 premiere of the back half of the series' second season drew 4.5 million viewers, the second-highest audience ever for a network show behind only the 4.7 million viewers who tuned into the series' June 2009 sophomore season debut.
The episode did set network records among viewers 12-34 (3.0 million); women 12-34 (2.5 million); teens (1.6 million); and female teens (1.4 million), said the network. The show is also the number one telecast among scripted shows on television among women 18-34 and viewers 12-34.
Secret Life also ranks, as cable's No. 1 telecast in women 18-49 and the industry's top scripted telecast on all TV in women 18-34 and viewers 12-34.
Following Secret Life, the network's sophomore gymnastics-based series Make It or Break It debuted its new season with series highs in total viewers (2.7 million), adults 18-49 (1.2 million), women 18-49 (926,000), viewers 12-34 (1.7 million), women 12-34 (1.5 million), teens (1.0 million) and female teens (931,000), said the network.
