Service Electric Cablevision Launches Big Ten Network

Service Electric Cablevision became the latest Pennsylvania-based operator to add Big Ten Network to its lineup.
The MSO launched the sports network in both standard- and high-definition today.

In Birdsboro, the network is positioned on channel 32 in standard HD on channel 522. In Sunbury, the network is on channel 30 in standard-def channel 514 in high-def. In Hazleton, the network resides on channel 32 in standard definition and channel 513 in HD.
The agreement, terms of which were not disclosed, comes in time for Service Electric to carry all of this season's Penn State football games offered exclusively on the BTN, including the Sept. 5 game against Akron, the Sept. 12 game against Syracuse, the Sept. 19 game against Temple, and any other games to be scheduled later in the season.

Atlantic Broadband and Kuhn Communications were also scheduled to launch BTN today.
