The seventh season of Discovery Channel's Mythbusters had more than a few believers, particularly among men 25 to 54.
The Oct. 14 telecast averaged 2.7 million watchers in its 9 p.m. time slot, according to Nielsen data, including the series most among guys 25 to 54 since September 2006. Discovery officials said the telecast ranked as the series' second best ever with that demographic.
Among males 25-54, the episode was third in cable that night behind sports college football on ESPN and Spike's Ultimate Fighter, according to network officials. It was the No. 1 non-sports provgramming with that group for the night, topping NBC's Mercy and ABC's Eastwick.
Mythbusters also scored among men 18 to 49, delivering its best performance with that group since September 2006 and third best ever.
