Home Box Office’s HBO Asia launched an ad blitz in Singapore Thursday to promote the Aug. 17 debut of Sex and the City there, AP reported.
The network took out full-page ads in the conservative Straits Times newspaper and several other dailies, according to AP.
The ads featured Sex star Sarah Jessica Parker gazing skyward from a park bench and asking, "Can you be friends with an ex?" and "Do women just want to be rescued?"
Singapore authorities last September gave the go-ahead to HBO Asia to air Sex, as long as scenes with nudity or bad language were edited.
