The Rev. Al Sharpton will co-host reality show I Hate My Job for Spike TV, AP reported.
Sharpton and California psychologist Stephanie Raye will give advice and weekly assignments to eight male contestants who have quit their jobs, and a panel will decide their fate each week.
“Rev. Sharpton came from a modest upbringing and became a major political force and presidential candidate," Spike executive vice president of programming Kevin Kay said. "He's lived the American dream, so he's the perfect person for our eight contestants to learn from."
Added Sharpton, “I'm the working man's [Donald] Trump. He brings people into the penthouse. We bring them into the house.”
Earlier this month, CNBC announced that Sharpton will join its political team of contributors and commentators covering the upcoming Democratic and Republican National Conventions.
