Pursuit Channel said it has gained about 60,000 subscribers through carriage by Shenandoah Telecommunications Co. in Virginia, West Virginia and parts of western Maryland. Shentel will add the hunting, fishing and shooting programmer in its Fans Choice sports package on or after Tuesday, Aug. 19, the network said.
"We are excited to add the Pursuit Channel to our lineup," Tom Whitaker, vice president of Shentel Cable, said in a release. "The channel will do well with our demographic. Our customers live in areas where hunting and fishing and other outdoor activities are part of an important tradition."
Pursuit Channel said it has distribution to more than 42 million homes, including all DirecTV and Dish Network subscribers.
