ShenTel Closes Suddenlink Deal

Shenandoah Telecommunications said Friday that it has closed a deal to purchase cable subscribers in Salem, W.Va. and Oakland, Md. from Suddenlink Communications. Terms were not disclosed.
ShenTel said in October that it had an agreement to purchase the systems, which pass about 7,000 homes. New York-based cable investment banker Waller Capital Partners acted as ShenTel's exclusive adviser in the deal.
In August, ShenTel completed the $148 million acquisition of Jet Broadband, with about 66,000 revenue generating units (a combination of voice, video and data subscribers) in southern Virginia and southern West Virginia.
