Showtime: Clip Views in a ‘Flash’

Showtime Networks Inc. said video-clip viewership has jumped 150% on its Web site (www.sho.com) since its introduction of Macromedia Inc.’s “Flash Video” software.

The site carries more than 3,000 video assets, ranging from show clips to promotional pieces, across all of its networks.

In late May, Showtime relaunched the video portion of the site using Macromedia “Flash Professional MX 2004” and Akamai Technologies Inc.’s “Flash Video Streaming Service.”
