In an effort to highlight its original programming, Showtime Networks Inc.
will relaunch its Showtime 3 plex service July 1 under the new Showtime Showcase
banner.
The service will offer the network's original series, films and specials, the
company said.
The relaunch is the latest of several recent changes Showtime made to its
plex service. It recently renamed two of its other plexes -- Showtime 2 and The
Movie Channel 2 -- Showtime Too and TMC Xtra, respectively. In March, it
launched three new multiplex channels: Showtime Next, Showtime Women and
Showtime FamilyZone.
