Showtime Thursday announced it has renewed comedy series Episodes for a third season.

The Showtime/BBC produced series, which stars Golden Globe Award-winning Matt LeBlanc as a fictional version of himself, will begin production next year on nine new episodes, according to network officials.

Season two of Episodes is currently averaging 1.6 million weekly viewers across platforms, with 78% of subscribers watching on a time-shifted basis – via replays, DVR, and On Demand, Showtime said.
