Showtime, Stephen Colbert Set Live Election Night Special

Showtime and CBS’ late night series The Late Show With Stephen Colbert will team to produce a live election night special, Stephen Colbert’s Live Election Night Democracy’s Series Finale: Who’s Going To Clean Up This Sh*t?’, the network said Monday.

The unprecedented partnership will bring Colbert and his political satire to Showtime for a live, real time, no hold barred accounting of the election results as the returns come in, said network officials. The one-hour special will air Nov. 8 at 11 p.m., according to Showtime.

The special, which will air live from the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City with a studio audience, will also feature remote segments and several surprise guests.

"It'll be all the political comedy you love from my CBS show, with all the swearing and nudity you love from Showtime," said Colbert said in a statement.
