Sigma Systems Buys Tribold

OSS and services fulfillment vendor Sigma Systems has wrapped up its acquisition of U.K.-based Tribold, a provider of enterprise product management software.

Financial terms weren’t disclosed. Toronto-based Sigma said the deal will enable it to create a platform that can handle the entire “idea-to-install” process – from the point of creating and deploying new products and services, to creating and configuring customer orders, to service installation and activation.

The companies said they have collaborated on projects in recent years that required them to integrate their respective products.

Tribold co-founder and CEO has been named SVP of market development and alliances for Sigma, while Tribold co-founder and CTO Catherine Michel will become Sigma’s chief strategy officer.

Tribold's customers include BSkyB, TeliaSonera, Orange, Teracom, Unitel Angola, Com Hem, Level3, CenturyLink, and Telecom New Zealand.

Sigma Systems, well known in cable circles, has deployments with Charter Communications, Cox Communications, Suddenlink Communications, Rogers Communications, Telus, Bell Aliant, and ZON, among others.
