Silva Takes on New Post at Comcast

Former Charter Communications Inc. chief technical officer Steve Silva is
headed to Comcast Corp., taking on a new position of executive vice president of
new business development.

Silva will be responsible for identifying and developing new businesses in
voice, video and data for Comcast, working with the company’s engineering,
marketing and operating teams.

He will relocate to Philadelphia and start work Sept. 2, reporting to Comcast
President Steve Burke.

'With the integration with AT&T Broadband well under way and most of the
company ready for advanced services, we feel it is time to accelerate the
rollout of new business opportunities,' Burke said, in a release.

'We are very pleased to have someone as talented and experienced as Steve
Silva join our team to help turn opportunities into real businesses.'

A 20-year cable veteran, Silva resigned from Charter in July after an
eight-year stint there. Before that, he worked for CableData in Sacramento,
Calif.
