Sinclair, Bright House Reach Retrans Pact

Sinclair Broadcast Group said Monday that it had reached a multi-year retransmission consent agreement with Bright House Networks.
The two parties had reached a tentative pact on Jan. 14, but at the time said they had until Jan. 21 to finalize the agreement. In a statement Jan. 24 Sinclair said it had entered into a multi-year agreement.
The agreement, terms of which were not disclosed, covers six stations in four Bright House markets -- WTTA (Tampa, Fla.), WEAR and WFGX (Mobile, Ala./Pensacola, Fla.), WTWC (Tallahassee, Fla.), and WABM and WTTO (Birmingham, Ala).
Sinclair said in a statement that its retransmission rights with Bright House had previously been covered by the Time Warner Cable retransmission agreement. Sinclair and Time Warner Cable reached an agreement in principle last week but have until Jan. 28 to finalize the deal.
