Sirius Plans Free Install for Race Fans

Sirius Satellite Radio said Tuesday that it would offer on-site installation
of its mobile-audio service to attendees of a National Association for Stock Car
Auto Racing Winston Cup race at the Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn,
Mich., this weekend.

Sirius is a title sponsor of the Sirius Satellite Radio 400 June 16.

The company also plans to host a free concert at MIS, featuring Dan Akroyd
and Jim Belushi as The Blues Brothers.

'We will be able to showcase our service and entertainment value to more than
100,000 fans who attend this popular race,' Sirius CEO Joseph Clayton said in a
press release.

'Located in the backyard of the world's largest automobile manufacturers, the
Michigan race also provides an opportunity to host our automotive partners and
give them a front-row seat to see how Sirius and NASCAR go hand-in-hand to build
demand for our unique brand of satellite entertainment,' he added.

Sirius' service is available in a limited number of markets. The company
plans to roll out the commercial-free radio service nationally July 1.

Competitor XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. is available nationally.

The two companies hope to create the same kind of demand for a national
multichannel-audio service that direct-broadcast satellite created with
multichannel video.
