World Wrestling Entertainment Inc.’s subscription-video-on-demand service announced carriage deals with six cable operators Tuesday.
WWE 24/7 is now being carried by: Armstrong Cable Services Inc. in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky and Maryland; Buckeye CableSystem in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan; Patriot Media & Communications in New Jersey; Astound Broadband in St. Cloud, Minn., and Concord/Walnut Creek, Calif.; BendBroadband in central Oregon; and SIGECOM LLC in southern Indiana.
“The power of WWE 24/7 to draw consumers to the on-demand platform has been noted by satellite and telco companies, as witnessed by our recent contract with Verizon [Communications Inc.],” WWE vice president of affiliate sales Peter Clifford said in a prepared statement.
“The international marketplace is also taking notice, and we will soon be providing WWE 24/7 to consumers outside of North America,” he added.
