SkiTAM said more than 900 people attended the annual fundraising event it held for the U.S. Disabled Ski Team in Vail, Colo., from March 31 through April 4.
The 2004 rendition topped attendance for last year’s event by more than 100 people.
The group said its silent auction raised $35,000, up 25% from last year, and that it’s on track in 2004 to “far exceed” the $400,000 that it raised last year.
SkiTAM, a fundraising program of the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing, said for the 2003-04 racing season, SkiTAM contributions made up 50% of the U.S. Disabled Ski Team budget.
This year’s SkiTAM get together was part of the industry’s “spring break” week, which featured a host of events in New York City.
