Sky Angel Forms Production Company

Dominion Video Satellite, owner and operator of the Sky Angel Christian-family-oriented television service, formed a production company and promoted two officers to oversee the new sister company.

Kathleen Johnson, formerly vice president of programming for Dominion Video Satellite, was promoted to president of Sky Angel Productions. In her new role, Johnson will use her talents as a veteran Emmy Award-winning producer to create and enhance programming for Sky Angel’s owned-and-operated TV networks as the primary function of the new production company.

Johnson has more than 20 years of experience in television with a diverse background covering all aspects of the medium. Since joining Sky Angel in 1998 as VP of programming, Johnson has had oversight of Sky Angel’s programming department and related projects, including the creation of America’s first 24-hour faith-based television network for kids and teens, KTV, and many of Sky Angel’s award-winning commercials and infomercials.

Prior to joining Sky Angel, Johnson enjoyed an established career as an accomplished TV network-news producer, most recently with NBC in Washington, D.C.

Joining Johnson to assist with a variety of production projects is Hope Daley, who was promoted to VP of Sky Angel Productions. Daley previously served as assistant VP of programming, responsible for day-to-day departmental operations and assisting with the development of innovative TV programs and national special events.

Prior to joining Sky Angel in 2002, Daley had 13 years of sales, marketing and management experience with Fortune 500 companies, receiving multiple awards for exceeding sales goals and for initiating employee-growth and development programs.
