Sky Angel Promotes Executives

Dominion Video Satellite, owner and operator of the Sky Angel Christian-owned family-oriented TV service, made several promotions at its Naples, Fla., corporate headquarters and Cleveland, Tenn., operations.

In Naples, Vi Avedisian, formerly vice president of customer service and strategic development, was promoted to executive VP of Dominion Video. In her new role, Avedisian will direct strategic business operations and oversee the implementation of sales and marketing initiatives.

Alberto Hering was been promoted from Web master to manager of Web development. In his new role, Hering’s duties include Web maintenance and development of Sky Angel’s Web-based projects.

In Cleveland, Brian Collins was promoted to VP of programming and media sales. Collins is taking over programming-department duties from Kathleen Johnson, who was recently promoted to president of the newly created Sky Angel Productions. Joining Sky Angel in 2005, Collins previously served as assistant VP of media sales.


Sherrod Munday was promoted to VP of Internet-protocol-TV engineering with the responsibility to lead the technical development of Sky Angel’s future IPTV service. Prior to joining Sky Angel last year as a broadcast engineer, Munday served as technical director for the Salem Radio Network in Dallas and also worked for Salem Music Network in Nashville.

Ken Douglas was promoted from assistant VP to VP of Cleveland operations. In this role, Douglas staffs and manages Sky Angel’s main contact center and has operational responsibility for Sky Angel’s network operations center.
