Smith Returns to Arbitron

Kevin Smith, who created and developed The Arbitron Co.'s cable division, is
rejoining the company as senior vice president, cable services, after a stint at
Wink Communications Inc.

From 1995 through 2000, Smith served as vice president and general manager,
creating the company's cable unit, which provides research and
business-information systems to cable networks, MSOs, interconnects and local
cable systems.

At Wink, he was the interactive concern's vice president of advertising
sales.

In his new role, Smith is responsible for maintaining Arbitron's client
relationships, as well as overseeing its cable sales efforts. He will also serve
as business-development executive on the marketing team pushing the 'Portable
People Meter,' Arbitron's radio, broadcast and cable-TV audience-measurement
system.
