SNY, the TV home of the New York Mets, will produce all of the club’s games in high-definition this season.
The regional sports network will telecast 120 of the Amazins’ regular-season contests this season, starting March 31 at 4 p.m. in Miami against the Florida Marlins.
Cablevision’s IO Digital Cable will serve as the presenting HD sponsor for Mets in-game telecasts, as well as the network’s pre- and post game shows.
Calling the action: SNY’s Emmy-nominated broadcast team, led by play-by-play announcer Gary Cohen, and game analysts Keith Hernandez and Ron Darling. Ralph Kiner will also return to the broadcast booth as a contributing analyst. They will be joined by field reporter Kevin Burkhardt, who will provide in-game interviews with players, coaches and other personalities in attendance.
SNY joins the growing ranks of outlets that are producing all of their MLB telecasts in high-definition this season, including Yankees Sports & Entertainment Network’s coverage of the New York Yankees; SportsTime Ohio and its Cleveland Indians’ telecasts; and Fox, baseball’s national broadcast partner.
