Knology Inc. posted improved numbers all around in the third quarter of 2005.
The overbuilder reported revenue of $58.6 million versus $52.1 million in the year-ago period and $57.3 million in the second quarter.
Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, debt and amortization were $12.6 million versus $6.3 million in the third quarter of 2004 and $12 million in the prior quarter.
The company posted a net loss of $8.2 million, or $0.34 per share, compared with $20 million ($0.85) in the previous-year period and $15.6 million ($0.66) in the second quarter.
Knology said it boosted total connections by 11,893 to 426,234, adding 5,182 data connections, 4,685 voice connections and 2,026 video connections.
“We have successfully executed a debt refinancing, two equity offerings and the sale of our assets in Cerritos [Calif.] in 2005, while delivering solid operating performance,” CEO Rodger L. Johnson said in a prepared statement. “We are pleased to have these transactions behind us and are excited about the opportunity to focus our attention on selling the bundle and taking care of our customers, while continuously improving the efficiency of our business operations.”
