Speed Channel Adds Mobility

New York — Speed Channel is going mobile, as the network has signed an exclusive wireless partnership with Airborne Entertainment Inc.

Under the pact, terms of which were not disclosed, Airborne soon will soon make ring tones, videos, games and other applications tied to Speed available to cell phone owners.

"Speed viewers are a very loyal and passionate group and we are constantly seeking new methods for them to interact with our brand and Speed Mobile is the next step in that evolution," said Speed Channel vice president of business development and operations Kevin Annison in a prepared statement. "We are very pleased to partner with Airborne Entertainment, the leader in delivering creative and cutting edge content to the wireless world."

Airborne lists Maxim, Cosmopolitan, CosmoGirl, Buzztime, Snapple, Family Guy, Fox Filmed Entertainment, TV Guide, the National Hockey League and MTV Europe, on its partner roster.
