Spike To Launch `Ultimate Fighter' Companion Series


Spike TV tonight (Sept. 22) will launch a companion series to its popular The Ultimate Fighter series that will recap the show's weekly episodes.
The Ultimate Fighter: The Aftermath series - which will air Mondays beginning Sept. 28 -- will feature a video roundtable discussion with fighters that competed during the TUF episode airing the preceding Wednesday, according the network officials.
UFC president Dana White will appear in the premiere episode, while other members of the current Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweaghts season - including coaches Rashad Evans and Rampage Jackson and fighters Kimbo Slice, Wes Sims, Marcus Jones, and Roy Nelson - are expected to take part in The Aftermath over the course of the series.
Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights drew 4.1 million viewers during its Sept. 16 premiere, the most watched original series episode in Spike's history.
"Ten seasons in, and The Ultimate Fighter still packs as much of a punch as ever," said Brian Diamond, senior vice president of sports and specials for Spike TV in a statement. "We're excited to build on the show's continued on air success and venture into a new platform with The Ultimate Fighter: The Aftermath.
