Spike To Rebroadcast UFC Events

Spike TV will rebroadcast two Ultimate Fighting Championship pay-per-view events leading up to its Oct. 18 first-run UFC event telecast.

The network will rebroadcast the July 2008 UFC 86 PPV event featuring a light heavyweight championship bout between Rampage Jackson and Forrest Griffin on Oct. 4 at 9 p.m.

On Oct. 11, Spike will air this past August’s UFC 87 event, headlined by Georges St. Pierre’s first defense of the welterweight title in a matchup with Jon Fitch.

The special telecasts will lead up to Spike’s presentation of UFC 89 from Birmingham, England on Saturday, October 18 at 9:00 p.m. ET.

The next Saturday, Spike TV will telecast on a taped-delayed basis from England the UFC 89 event featuring The Ultimate Fighter 3 champ Michael Bisping and The Ultimate Fighter 1 standout Chris Leben. The show will also include light heavyweight fights between Lyoto Machida and Thiago Silva and The Ultimate Fighter 2 alum Keith Jardine against Brandon “The Truth” Vera.
