Spike Taps Kurt Wimmer for Scripted Series

Spke has teamed with acclaimed film producer Kurt Wimmer (Salt) to develop a scripted drama series.

The show, When The Levee Breaks, focuses on an illegal strike by the the Los Angeles Police Department triggered by the questionable motivations behind the murders of the two racist cops whose deaths provoked the strike, Spike officials said.

"Kurt is the perfect example of the big and bold voices with an edge that we are looking for to further our mission to create distinctive original programming."
