Split-Screen for G4techTV, Nintendo

G4techTV will go dual-screen to celebrate the release of Nintendo of America Inc.’s “Nintendo DS” system.

For 20 hours Sunday, the network will air its regular programming on the top screen, while DS game-play footage airs simultaneously on the bottom screen.

The Nintendo DS -- which will be released Sunday -- is a new video-game platform featuring dual screens, touch-screen and voice-recognition interfaces and wireless capabilities.

“This has never been done on TV," G4techTV senior vice president of ad sales and distribution Dale Hopkins said in a prepared statement.

“This program demonstrates how G4techTV has the capability to develop a campaign that immerses viewers in a complete experience to support the launch of a pioneering video-game platform,” she added. “We look forward to extending this innovation to other categories."
