Sportsman Channel will support its expansive third-quarter programming schedules with its largest marketing initiative.
Launching June 25, the multimillion dollar, multimedia "Made In America" campaign highlights Sportsman Channel's top experts and hosts, and the vast outdoor opportunities that the nation's 82 million sportsmen and women can enjoy.
Chevrolet's Silverado will serve as presenting sponsor of the "Made in America" premiere week, marking the model's second such sponsorship gambit since parking with the network in April. Financial terms were not disclosed.
"Proud, brave, free -- these are words and values that define America and the American Sportsman," said Sportsman Channel CEO Gavin Harvey in announcing the initiative. "Sportsman's ‘Made in America' campaign is both a celebration of this great lifestyle, and a commitment to its endurance. Our third-quarter lineup is our strongest ever-headlined by the industry's most compelling and entertaining experts-and deserves a campaign of this passion and promotion."
Made in America will cut across the combined resources of Sportsman Channel and sister company IMO, the largest media company in the outdoor-enthusiast category. It will include positions in IMO's 14 industry-leading enthusiast magazines and 17 websites, including Guns & Ammo, In-Fisherman, Petersen's Hunting, North American Whitetail and Fly Fisherman. The campaign centerpiece: a 16-page editorial review of Sportsman's best-in-class programming that readers can sample in print, online and social outlets.
Sportsman Channel's SD and HD networks, website, email database, and social channels will also be engaged in the heavy promotional push for its Q3 lineup that encompassed 575 hours of fresh content, notably 22 series launches and 70 returning skeins, showcasing new episodes.
All told, Sportsman officials estimate the campaign will create some 200 million impressions.
